Not because there is a problem - but because a little planning now saves a lot of scrambling in November.
What Golden Week Means
October 1–7 is China's National Day holiday. Like most manufacturers, the Wideny team will be taking a full break - and we will be back at our desks on October 8, ready to pick up exactly where we left off.
During this period, production is paused and new freight bookings will be processed from October 8 onward. It is a clean, predictable window - and one that is easy to plan around if you know it is coming.
The Q4 Window: A Honest Look
If your products need to arrive in time for Black Friday or the Christmas retail season, the shipping math is worth checking now.
Ocean freight from China to Europe runs 25–35 days. Air freight runs 5–7 days. With the factory restart on October 8 and production lead times on top of that, orders confirmed this week are still workable for most Q4 deadlines - but the window is narrowing.
Orders already in production before October 1 are on schedule and unaffected.
If you are still finalizing your Q4 sourcing, reaching out now means we can review your requirements on October 8 and give you a clear timeline from the start - rather than working backwards under pressure later.
What to Expect When We Return
From October 8:
- All inquiries will be responded to within 24 hours
- Orders in production resume immediately
- New orders will be reviewed and scheduled in the order received

Golden Week is one of the few moments in the year when the whole country genuinely pauses. Our team has had a busy Q3 - including our first appearance at Brazil Homelife Expo in São Paulo earlier this month - and this week is a well-earned rest.
